I don't really like layout... but heres my terrible attempt at it. I got tired after 30 minutes of doing it and called it quits. I hated everything being gray so I started putting shaders on everything and thats when I realized I shouldn't be in layout, but should stick to shading.
I know theres a way to move a character with a rig but I sure don't remember how so I just like deformed the model. This gets the point across at least. It's bad I know... but its rough... really rough. And the 3D stuff in the background will end up as a matt painting on different layers. It's just there for placement purposes. And I don't suppose the pigeon will be sitting in front of the bench haha, I just forgot to move it. Oh what should we name the pigeon? It needs a name. ;)

SHADING AND TEXTURING
TEXTURING PREPARATION
Larry (Garrett)
Pigeon (Garrett or Jarom)
Sandwich (Up for grabs)
Alka-Seltzer tablet and the wrapper (Up for grabs)
Brown paper sack (Up for grabs)
Park Bench (Up for grabs)
Briefcase (Up for grabs)
Burnt Pigeon legs (Garrett or Jarom)
Chocolate Chip Cookie (Up for grabs)
Feathers (Up for grabs)
Brick Wall (Garrett)
Ground (Garrett)
Everything must be UV mapped before we texture it. Modelers are primarily responsible in the pipeline to UV map. Keep the Texture Artist in mind. Use UV Layout or Zbrush to do this quickly and effectively. If you don't know how to UV map, it's a beast, but you should learn how. It's kind of like playing a super hard video game and beating it first before you resolve to the cheat codes... ;)
WHAT NEEDS TO BE SHADED AND TEXTURED?

some updates!
Garrett, before I forget, in order for you to texture Larry, does it all need to be one mesh?
I'll admit, I'm enjoying how this is looking. I liked doing the wrinkles on the clothes.
I still need to model shoes, eyes, and teeth (and tongue I guess too)
any advice? I'm always worried I'll make some terrible mistake that will ruin the whole pipeline.
Peace!

Larry....is growing
some updates. I threw in some buttons on the sleeves of his jacket, let me know if you think I should remove them. Thanks for the paint overs. I'm currently working on the pants as well. Also, out of curiosity, what are the rest of you guys working on while I'm doing this? I'm just wondering.
OKAY BYE

I feel kinda guilty doing this because Aaron didn't ask for a critique...but I did it anyway mostly because I'm stoked for Larry in 3D.
This is the paintover I did. Didn't change much, just pushed and pulled and exaggerated some things a bit more.
Written explanations...
