Garrett, before I forget, in order for you to texture Larry, does it all need to be one mesh?
I'll admit, I'm enjoying how this is looking. I liked doing the wrinkles on the clothes.
I still need to model shoes, eyes, and teeth (and tongue I guess too)
any advice? I'm always worried I'll make some terrible mistake that will ruin the whole pipeline.
Peace!
Looks friggin' AWESOME dude. Larry looks really good. I think you'd have a ton of fun in zbrush if you liked modeling the wrinkles haha.
ReplyDeleteAs far as texturing goes, No it does not have to be one mesh. It can be as many meshes as it takes. I will UV map each mesh separately. No biggie. In fact, it's probably better if it is separate meshes...
You're not gonna make a mistake haha. Be sure to have it 98% done on saturday if possible so that I can check it for completion- and also be sure to send Laura Mercer the update ASAP and get her critique so that you can hand off the baton and I can run with it on Monday.
Oh and do you want someone else to model Larry's glasses? I can get someone to do it, but I think if you want to do it you should so you can put him on your demo reel and claim it all as yours. (the glasses don't have to be done yet, but if you spend more than an hour on them I'd be surprised).
ReplyDeleteHey! Thanks for the comments, I will model the glasses, that shouldn't take long. I don't have much else to do so I think I could have it mostly done tomorrow. I'm already nearly finished with the shoes.
DeleteOh, and don't let me forget to attach his eyebrows to his face.
I will try and finish it soon! Oh, and I will seek Laura's approval as well!
Thanks!
Oh and I think larry needs a belt too.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if he was supposed to, but none of the concept shows him with a belt, so I just left it out.
DeleteYeah I wondered too, but then wesley drew him with a belt in the storyboards.
